Coating failure is rarely just a surface issue.

What may look like flaking paint, staining or minor blistering can often be an early warning sign of corrosion, moisture ingress or substrate breakdown beneath the surface.

That is why close-up inspection matters.

When defects are identified early, maintenance teams can make better decisions around:

• The true condition of the asset
• The level of surface preparation required
• The correct coating repair system
• The urgency of remedial works
• Safer and more cost-effective access planning

For difficult-to-reach structures, rope access allows inspection teams to get close to the defect without delaying work around scaffolding, MEWPs or major access restrictions.

Difficult access should not delay inspection.

GWO training should do more than tick a box.

It should reflect the standards technicians are expected to work to in the wind industry today.

At Dangle, our GWO training is built around the latest published GWO requirements, supporting technicians with current, practical and industry-aligned training across:

BST | ART | EFA

As standards develop, training delivery needs to remain clear, relevant and focused on real working environments.
