Read to the Beat has started! We will have crafts and activities available to make in the children’s zone every week on a music theme. We start this week with design your own mini paper piano and banjo. These crafts will be here until 18 July so why not pop in and sign up and get crafting.
We also have an outside music themed treasure hunt in our garden (ask staff for a hunt sheet) and a Read to the Beat characters hunt in the library. Collect stickers if you find all the characters and instruments.

Our Toddler Story Time today (Thursday 25th) has also been cancelled - apologies if you were planning to come along! Maybe treat your toddler to an ice lolly instead? Or a cooling slice of watermelon - the Hungry Caterpillar would approve! πŸ‰πŸ›

If you can bear to leave the house today, your friendly neighbourhood library is open as usual - here for all your beach reading needs! πŸŒžπŸ–οΈ

Highlights this week include the LAST session of Junior Chess Club before a summer break (it'll be back on 12 September); and the FIRST session of our Tech Buddy in residence. Plus Book Group with Linda, Wriggle & Rhyme with Jane, and free tap water available for all (don't say we don't treat you πŸ˜‰)

However you're keeping cool, we hope you have a great week!🍦

Here's advance notice that the June edition of our Local History Meetup will be about the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum ! Join Ross to hear about "unique and eccentric" East Cliff Hall - once a Victorian family home filled with exotic souvenirs, now home to an idiosyncratic collection of art, preserved for the people of Bournemouth. πŸ—οΈπŸ–ΌοΈ This month's event will be on Tuesday 30 June at 3pm.
