🌿 New Funding Opportunity: Smart Local Energy System (SLES) Projects ⚡

Ynni Cymru is preparing to launch a £10 million capital grant scheme to support Smart Local Energy System (SLES) projects across Wales.

A SLES typically brings together technologies like solar panels, battery storage, heat pumps, data and controls to create an integrated local energy system that can power buildings, heat, or transport sustainably.

💡 Who can apply?
The scheme will be open to:
✔ Voluntary, community & social enterprise organisations
✔ Public sector organisations
✔ SMEs based in Wales

Community organisations may be eligible for up to 100% grant funding, and the scheme is designed to support projects located in areas identified as among the most deprived in Wales (according to the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation).

Our in-house energy efficiency and retrofit specialist Elfed, and our North Wales Regional Support Officer, Oisin, will be on hand throughout the session to answer questions, discuss ideas, provide practical advice, and signpost relevant funding and support opportunities.
