What a fantastic day at the Insole Court Community Dog Show! 🐾

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, entered their dogs, cheered from the side-lines and helped make the event such a success. Together, we raised money for charity while celebrating our four-legged friends and our wonderful community.

Congratulations to all the dogs who took part, and to those who went home with rosettes and prizes. We were delighted to see so many deserving winners throughout the day.

A special congratulations goes to Buddy (pictured!) the rescue from Cyprus, who stole the judges' hearts and was crowned Best in Show 2026 🏆🐶

🐾 Community Dog Day is ON tomorrow! 🐾

We've had a few questions about the weather, so we're delighted to confirm that our Community Dog Day will be going ahead as planned. The forecast is looking much brighter and we're ready for a fantastic day at Insole Court! ☀️

With over 80 dogs already entered, expect plenty of wagging tails, friendly competition and fun for the whole family.

As National Volunteers' Week draws to a close, we're introducing another person who helps keep Insole Court running behind the scenes. Today, meet Margaret.

Margaret has been volunteering with Insole Court's Administration Team since 2023, putting her years of experience to good use supporting the organisation's day-to-day operations.

🌿 Why do you volunteer?

Margaret: "After retiring, I wanted to keep using the skills I'd built up throughout my career. I worked as a school administrator, and administration has always been my background. I'd volunteered with another organisation previously, and when that came to an end, I was keen to find somewhere else where I could put my experience to good use.

I enjoy being able to support Steph (Finance Manager) and the accounts team and help with the work that keeps things running smoothly."

🌿 What do you love about Insole Court?

Margaret: "It's a lovely environment, and it's local to where I live. But more than anything, it's the people. I've seen people come and go over the years, and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I just love the whole place."

🌿 What's your favourite thing about volunteering?

Margaret: "I love shredding! And I really enjoy entering the wedding bookings because it feels like I'm doing something positive and helping create special days for people."

Margaret is one of the many volunteers who support Insole Court behind the scenes. Alongside our office administrators, trustees and board members, our Administration and Governance volunteers help ensure the organisation runs effectively and sustainably, providing vital support across finance, planning, governance and day-to-day operations.

While visitors may not always see their work, their time, expertise and commitment help make everything else possible.
