At Re-Create, everyone is welcome. We proudly stand with the LGBTQIA+ community not just during Pride Month, but throughout the entire year, celebrating the diversity, creativity, and strength that make our communities richer.

Pride is a reminder that visibility, acceptance, and equality cannot be taken for granted. At a time when many LGBTQIA+ people continue to face discrimination and challenges to their rights - support, solidarity, and community are more important than ever.

We are committed to ensuring that Re-Create remains a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for all.

As we put the finishing touches on our newly decorated warehouse, we'd love to add some crafts that represent Pride to the space. If you have any flags, banners, or decorations from Pride Cymru that you no longer need, please consider donating them so they can continue to bring visibility, joy, and a sense of belonging to our community.

“Hi, I'm Andrea the new Resource Officer here at Recreate.

The one who organises collections, deliveries, getting stock in and out for ya!

I have always been a creative, experimenting in many different mediums - I just enjoy play and creating whether it's 'good' or not it's so good for the soul. My favourite thing to paint is eyes and favourite thing to sculpt with is willow. In my spare time I love exploring with my beautiful dog Ember who means the world to me. I also perform in cabaret shows and am proudly q***r.

Please welcome Caitlin to the team at Recreate Cardiff! 🎨✨

Caitlin is a freelance illustrator with a passion for all things art and craft. Coming from a background in theatre management and community outreach, she is deeply passionate about the work Recreate provides for the Cardiff community and the opportunities creativity can create for people from all walks of life.

Alongside her role at Recreate, Caitlin is also a Role Model for Business Wales, mentoring young creatives across South Wales. Through her experience mentoring, she understands the barriers many people face when entering the arts sector and is passionate about helping make creativity more accessible and welcoming for everyone.

Caitlin is excited to use her skills and experience to help grow a strong community feel at Recreate through workshops, events, collaborations, and more! We can’t wait to bring her exciting plans to life! 💛
