Vedri Studio takes the title of 2026 Wales Technology StartUp of the Year in partnership with M-SParc, a fantastic achievement for founder Daniel Parry Evans. 🏆

For years the answer to any North Wales production needing the latest technology was the same: go to London, a barrier that quietly shut out Welsh-language producers, tight-budget creatives and underrepresented voices.

Daniel built Vedri as North Wales's first virtual production studio, bringing camera tracking, real-time environments and live compositing to the region at rates far below London prices, with accessibility at its core. Its name comes from the Welsh medri di, can you, and the answer is always yes, including a virtual production shoot that aired on S4C on Christmas Day.

In dementia care, distressed behaviour is too often treated as random or simply challenging, when it is communication, yet carers rarely have access to the specialist behavioural support that could make sense of it before things escalate.

One of only around 80 behaviour analysts worldwide specialising in dementia care, Emma drew on 28 years of frontline experience to build Less Distress, a platform that helps carers spot patterns, understand triggers and respond sooner. Specialist knowledge, made available at the point it's needed most.
