Welcome to Tuk Tuk, an independent Thai restaurant aiming to satisfy the sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavours of Cardiff
Our next specials are inspired by the dishes our Head Chef cook for us as staff meals!
As you can imagine, they were incredible the kind of comfort you need during a heavy shift.
Over time, we thought… why not share these dishes with everyone?
To truly understand them, I visited some staple spots in Bangkok that do them best, starting with Khao Soi.
My journey began at , where they specialise in traditional Khao Soi from Chiang Mai. It was all about understanding what makes this dish authentic, and how our Head Chef would bring that same essence to life here.
Now, we’ve introduced our own take on this Northern Thai classic at Tuk Tuk 🇹🇭

We work at Tuk Tuk, and if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that people don’t just come for the food, they come for the vibe. ✨
I actually designed this tee for myself (with the help of our very talented designer, Hannah). Cropped it. Tried it on. Loved it instantly.
Then I may have strongly encouraged the staff to wear it… and turns out, it looked good on everyone. That’s when it clicked! This deserved to be shared.
It captures the comfort, warmth, culture, and all the behind-the-scenes energy that makes Tuk Tuk what it is. Easy to throw on, easy to style. Whether you’re heading out or staying in. 🫶🏻
