Right Down The Line: The Gerry Rafferty Songbook

Yesterday, we remembered our dearly-departed inspiration and musical idol, the great Gerry Rafferty, on his 79th birthday.

We honour the quiet brilliance of a man whose music continues to touch the hearts of listeners who see their own stories in his words. His voice, and his music, continues to shine as brightly as ever.

Plans are beginning to take shape for a celebration of his 80th birthday next year, for which Right Down The Line: The Gerry Rafferty Songbook will be playing our humble part in honouring a legend of popular music back where it all began.

We are delighted to be bringing the timeless music of Scotland's most beloved songwriter back north of the border this Summer, as we play the Cumbernauld Theatre at Lanternhouse. We are delighted to be playing this historic venue, whose roots lie in the Scottish folk scene of the 60s; a theatre which now finds itself at the epicentre of a thriving arts community in one of Scotland's most vibrant and culturally-driven towns.

💭 A joyous and life-affirming return to Acapela Studio in Cardiff last night.

The first venue in our relatively short existence that we have had the pleasure of playing twice now, and this wonderfully unique stage was every bit as special as we remembered, and more. A real gem of a place, with a natural warmth, enjoyed by countless artists and fans alike, run by a team who put art, and its creation, first. The perfect setting in which to celebrate the love and truth in Gerry’s music. Thank you for having us back.

And to our sold-out audience - who welcomed us back so enthusiastically, whose warmth was palpable, who stood and raised the roof at our curtain call - thank you for allowing us to open this songbook once again. Forever, and always, a joy.

A little break now awaits us after three very special shows on the trot. Otley, Wakefield and Cardiff, you have our hearts.
