From small community function spaces to stadiums and professional facilities, semi-permanent structures are a great solution for sports venues!
Our versatile modular structures have been used for:
→ World-class training facilities
→ Sports stadiums across the globe
→ Weather-proofing tennis courts
→ And turning empty plots into fully climate-controlled environments, perfect for housing sports
This functionality can be achieved with glass-walled structures, large tents, or even our patented Air Dome: an air supported structure, with faster deployment, full climate control and weather-proofing, and ultimate flexibility.
We've delivered projects like this all across the world. In fact, many of our longest-standing projects (we're talking 20+ years!) have provided additional space and function areas to local sports clubs across the UK. Safe to say, this is our bread and butter.
If you're looking for a trusted supplier and manufacturer to upgrade your sports facility or stadium, get in touch with the team! We're always on hand to walk through options, answers any questions, or just for a friendly chat.

Another project complete! ✅
We've spent the past few weeks back at the Three Counties Showground for the Royal Three Counties Show. From the build to the live show days to the takedown, it's been a fantastic project, back in the picturesque Malvern Hills. It was great to see the show come to life from the 12th-14th June, and we feel very lucky to have been a part of it!

It's that time again! 🌲
We've counted up the numbers for May and the results are in...
(If you have no idea what we're talking about -- every month we're planting trees in our local community for every new social media follower, newsletter subscriber and order placed)
→ We planted 33 trees!
Once again, we've planted a mixture of 23 trees and 10m2 of wetland restoration, to be in keeping with the makeup of our local Fenland area.
We need to say another HUGE thank you to everyone on here, our email subscribers and our clients for making this possible. We've already smashed our goal for the year, so any guesses how many trees we'll have planted by the end of the year? 👀

It's Clean Air Day - the UK's largest public air pollution campaign!
The campaign engages businesses, schools, hospitals, health professionals, local authorities and devolved governments to take action on air pollution. We think there's room for our industry to get involved, too.
Everyone in the events and structures industries knows how much our work relies on travel. Haulage. Deliveries. Heavy-duty operations.
At Roder, this is our everyday reality. Travelling to sites, deliveries across the country, or even internationally, running machinery at our offices to keep PVC clean. There's a lot.
In the UK, road emissions is one of our biggest polluters. According to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, domestic transport accounts for 29.1% of all territorial greenhouse gas emissions, the main source of which is petrol and diesel in road vehicles.
We've tried for years to find ways to minimise our impact on the planet, while still delivering our essential functions. And we think we've found some great solutions:
→ We invested in an all-electric vehicle fleet, and now collaborate with all-electric haulage companies to further minimise emissions wherever possible.
→ Our offices have been kitted out with solar panels which now power 100% of our equipment and office running.
→ In upgrading a large piece of on-site equipment, a washing machine for PVC covers, we have created a system with improved time efficiency, and reduced our water wastage and carbon output in the process
While we haven't completely erased our carbon emissions, we're making steps in the right direction. In 2025, just the switch to an EV fleet saved approximately 11,792kg, while Lee Dalton's switch to an electric vehicle over three years ago has saved over 23,638 kg of CO2 in total.
We have plans to expand our use of EV haulage over the coming years, too, and would love to hear from other suppliers who are trialing similar initiatives!

If you're hiring in extra space on a regular basis, you might be missing a key opportunity...
For lots of businesses, renting temporary structures to supplement their available space is an essential part of their annual calendar. For functions, gatherings or even an extra revenue stream, the ability to quickly and flexibly scale your space up and down when needed is very valuable.
But what many businesses forget is that you can turn this extra space from an expense into an asset.
If you hire a temporary structure more than ten times, you will have likely paid more in rental fees than it would have cost to buy the structure outright. While this means more upfront investment, owning your structure rather than hiring it means you gain an asset that you can leverage for additional income.
Once you own a marquee, you can always rent this space out as a function room. Or if you've invested in a semi-permanent extension, you gain the capacity to host more people and larger events. Suddenly, you have the ability to benefit from these structures without the repeated admin and costs associated with hiring.
So, are you always renting structures to increase your capacity? Interested in how that structure could become an asset, rather than an expense? If yes, get in touch with the team for a chat to discuss your options - [email protected]
