If you’re decluttering kids clothes in Chester, here’s a great place to donate them to. 😊

☀️Throughout the summer months and these recent soaring temperatures, we've been able to help 333 children so far at KidsBank Chester with summer clothing.

Every child deserves to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to enjoy the summer.
Due to increased demand, our clothing boxes are now completely empty for the following sizes:
👕 Boys 6–7 years
👗 Girls 8–9 years
👕👗 Boys & Girls 12–13 years

Can you help? We're looking for new or pre-loved clothing in excellent, clean condition, ready to be gifted to another family.
Donations can be dropped off Monday to Friday, 10am–3pm at 21-23 Garden Lane, Chester, CH1 5JN. Every donation makes a difference and helps us support local children when they need it most. Thank you for your kindness and support. 💛

Please note that we are currently full for size 0-2 year clothing, and we will be closing for donations towards the end of July. Thank you

We have been blown away recently by your donations of clothing for children aged 0–2 years! Thanks to your generosity, we now have a wonderful supply of clothing for 0–2-year-olds, which will help us to continue supporting little ones throughout the summer months.

We are now closed to donations for this age group and will share information here when we are ready to reopen.

We continue to accept good-quality clothing for children aged 2–12 years. We kindly ask that all donations are freshly laundered, ready to be given to the families we support 💛

We are particularly in need of:

⭐ Summer clothing age 12–13 years, for girls & boys
⭐ NEW underwear for boys & girls, age 2–12 years
⭐ NEW duvets, single size & cot-bed size
⭐ Shampoo
⭐ Breast pads and Maternity pads

Thank you for your continued support.

You don't need to declutter your entire home in one week (unless you have an aircraft hanger and the team from sort your life out at your disposal).

Here are 5 simple things you can do this week:

1. Choose a surface or small area of your home and throw out any rubbish. 🗑
2. Pick out 5 items from your wardrobe which you no longer wear and put them in the charity bag. 👚
3. Check your fridge / cupboards and get rid of any expired food items. 🧀
4. Throw out any junk mail lurking in your home. ✉
5. Unsubscribe to unwanted marketing emails. This will reduce the temptation to buy. 📧

Small wins really do add up. We're not aiming for perfect. Just aim to make small improvements each day.

Let me know how you get on.

Jo 🙂

Where should I store it? 🤔

This question always comes up when decluttering with my clients.

The best advice I’ve heard on this is to ask yourself “If I needed this, where would I look for it first?” Don’t overthink this - go with your gut.

If the answer is something along the lines of ‘I wouldn’t look for it because I didn’t know I had it’ then that’s probably a clue that you shouldn’t keep it.

If the place you would look is full and you don’t want to throw anything out to make room, that’s also a sign to declutter it.

Let me know in the comments, do you do this or are you going to try it?
