We're working with the National Ice Centre to promote best practice when it comes to safeguarding and welfare in Nottinghamshire's sports sector.

As part of that, a free Keeping Sport Safe in Nottingham – Welfare & Learning event will be held at the National Ice Centre on Saturday 18 July, 12noon - 3.30pm.

This event is perfect for coaches, welfare leads, club volunteers and anyone who works in the sports and activity space in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Meet Garry, one of our newest board members! He brings over 20 years’ experience in strategic communications, policy, public affairs, and reputation management.

Garry is also Head of Policy & Communications at Groundwork, where he leads work spanning organisational positioning, stakeholder influence, digital strategy, and external affairs.

His experience and perspective will be invaluable as we continue working to understand and respond to the needs of the communities we serve across Notts and Derbyshire.
