Staveley's major transformation is complete 🎉

Staveley 21, a large project aimed at rejuvenating Staveley's town centre is now ready to welcome visitors.

The pavilion building is a new landmark, which will house Staveley Library on the ground floor and a business on the first floor.

Plus a new sculpture, which was created by artist Coralie Turpin and draws inspiration from the Cuckoo Boats that were unique to the Chesterfield Canal.

But, the newness doesn't stop there. The square also includes:
🔹 New feature paving
🔹 New lighting
🔹 New seating and planting
🔹 New CCTV
🔹 New play area

Different aspects of the project can now help the community at all stages of their life and encourage more time in the town centre, supporting local businesses.

When asked what makes Chesterfield and North Derbyshire a good place to work? Millie said:

💭"Whether it’s sponsoring one of our events, putting up posters, or signing up to take part, there’s a real willingness to get involved.

That community spirit makes Chesterfield a brilliant place to work, especially in the charity sector."
