🧠 Quiz night, great company and an even greater cause!

Last night, the CMP Legal team hosted our annual pub quiz, raising an incredible £1,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer

Young Lives vs Cancer provides vital support to children and young people with cancer, along with their families, helping them navigate the emotional, practical and financial challenges that a diagnosis can bring.

A huge congratulations to Peak Pharmacy , who claimed this year's quiz title! 🏆

And a special mention to CRA Recruitment, who proudly took home the wooden spoon. We're still not convinced they weren't aiming for it all along... 😉🥄

⚖️ Employment law is changing... are you ready?

From 1 January 2027, two significant changes to unfair dismissal law are due to come into force:

✔️ The qualifying period for ordinary unfair dismissal is set to reduce from 2 years to 6 months.

✔️ The current cap on compensatory awards for ordinary unfair dismissal is also due to be removed.

For employers, this means recruitment, probationary periods, performance management and dismissal procedures will become even more important.

Now is the time to review your contracts, policies and processes so you're prepared for the changes ahead.
