Our vision is a world without hunger.

Our mission is to facilitate individual and collective action to transform the systems of inequity that create hunger and cause it to persist. We carry this out with an approach that is based on three fundamental pillars that, when combined, empower people to make sustainable progress in overcoming hunger and poverty:\

• Mobilising people at the grassroots
• Supporting women as key change agents
• Forging partnerships with local government

60,000.

In 2023, 60,000 people trained in food security & agriculture with us.

Our training is for everyone: from smallholder women farmers at the heart of food security to individuals wanting to gain self-reliance.

Collaboratively, we can break the cycle of hunger and poverty.

Ending hunger takes more than food; it takes people-powered change. That’s why The Hunger Project works through three pillars:

1. Start with Women
When women are empowered, families are healthier, children go to school, farms thrive, and incomes rise. Women are the key change agents in ending hunger.

2. Mobilise Communities
We train and equip women and men with the skills, leadership and confidence to take action. From literacy to nutrition, local leaders ignite transformation from within.

3. Engage Local Government
We partner with local governments to ensure accountability, women’s leadership, and access to resources.
