Fixtures have dropped for the 2026 2027 Surrey Alliance League.

Chobham 2nd XV, the mighty Cannons, will be looking to build on their strong finish to last season in a league full of fantastic Surrey clubs.

Chobham Rugby Club is extremely proud to have been nominated for the Kings Award for Voluntary Service. This award is the highest honour a voluntary organisation can receive and our nomination recognises the thousands of volunteers over generations who have put in so much effort to make Chobham Rugby the great community club it has been for the last 60 years. Last week we were invited to a reception with the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey who presented us with a plaque recognising our nomination.

We look forward to Nov 14th (His Majesty’s Birthday) to find out if we have been successful.

Next up is the great news that our resident South African hard man Jared Rodgers has committed to another season in the red and gold.

Jared joined us last season and immediately made an impression with his unrelenting physicality and work rate. That uncompromising style of play ended his season early due to injury so it is exciting to see where Jared can take his game with a full pre season behind him. His ability to play second row and back row is also a big bonus for the coaches.

Jared commented, “Buzzing to be back for another season with the boys. I’ve really enjoyed my time at Chobham and appreciate how everyone has welcomed me into the club. Looking forward to getting stuck into pre-season, putting in the hard work and doing whatever I can to help the team this year. Can’t wait to get started.”
