This is baby rocco he will be 5 this year and this is only his 3rd time away from home on his own and today he did a run through his first ever prelim test. Very exciting young horse but I haven’t rushed lots of hacking and lots of time for understanding and building your relationship. Ridden here by my friend and crash test dummy Georgie. # # #
I have a clinic this coming Sunday at Fordham House Livery I have been rubbish and not advertised so here is your chance to book your slot. Via me or them directly. Flat , poles and the jumps will be out as well. Xx
So how long do you walk for before you crack on and school your horse? It is a really important stage to not miss even if you are freezing. 10 mins minimum for me and yes sometimes this is hard so I hack to do it.
Also 10 mins at the end.
Both of these will help your horse to relax and stretch. Hopefully preventing injury 🙏

As I sadly take another day off due to winter weather I am reminded how lucky we are to get to enjoy our horses. Apart from these days I feel blessed to share my journey through life with my 4 legged friends. Roll on the warmer fun days. # # #
