Big businesses don’t struggle because they’re small.
They struggle because they’re BUSY.

And the biggest hidden mess?

👉 The Purchase Ledger (Accounts Payable)

From the outside, everything looks organised.
Inside the finance office? Constant firefighting.

Here’s what’s really happening in large businesses:

📥 Invoice overload
Hundreds or thousands of invoices every month. Emails, PDFs, paper, staff receipts… things get lost.

Example: A £6,800 invoice never gets paid because it was sent to a manager, not accounts.

⏳ Approval delays
Invoices wait in inboxes for managers who are “too busy”.

Result: Suppliers chase, accounts get put on hold, operations get disrupted.

📊 Supplier statements don’t match
Your ledger says one number. Supplier says another.

Why? Missing invoices, unposted credits, misallocated payments.

Result: Hours wasted investigating instead of managing cash.

💸 Duplicate & incorrect payments
Same invoice paid twice. Wrong amounts. Old bank details.

Example: £4,200 paid twice — now you’re awkwardly chasing it back.

👀 No clear view of what’s really owed
Directors see the bank balance — but not the stack of invoices coming.

Result: “We have cash!” turns into “Why can’t we pay everything this week?”

🔥 Month-end panic
Late invoices, rushed reconciliations, guessed numbers.

Result: Reports are wrong → decisions are wrong.

💡 This is where we come in

We don’t just enter invoices.
We put control into your purchase ledger:

✔️ Structured invoice systems
✔️ Approval processes
✔️ Supplier statement reconciliations
✔️ Duplicate payment checks
✔️ Clear aged creditor reports

Less chaos.
Better cash flow.
No nasty surprises.
If your finance team is always chasing, correcting, and firefighting — that’s not normal. That’s a system problem.

And systems can be fixed.

📢 Important Update for Company Directors & PSCs — Mandatory ID Verification at Companies House! 🇬🇧

From 18 November 2025, all UK company directors and Persons with Significant Control (PSCs) must complete an identity verification check with Companies House under new legal requirements introduced to improve transparency and fight fraud

👉 What this means:
✔️ If you’re a director (new or existing), you must verify your identity with Companies House.

✔️ New directors must verify before appointment or incorporation.

✔️ Existing directors must verify and provide their personal code when filing their next confirmation statement after 18 Nov 2025.

✔️ PSCs also have specific timelines for providing their personal code after registration.

📌 How to verify

➡️ Ask an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) InChart Accounting Limited, to verify for you.

📄 You’ll get a unique personal code once verified — keep this safe because you’ll need it for filings with Companies House.
GOV.UK

❗ Why this matters:
Failing to verify your identity could prevent you from submitting key company filings — and, in some cases, mean you can’t act as a director or risk penalties.

⚡ Tip: Don’t wait — verify your identity early so you’re ready for your next confirmation statement!
