Looking for something different to do this June?
At Hive Design Studio in Sanderstead, we've got a packed month of creative workshops for all abilities. Whether you'd like to learn a new skill, meet like-minded people, or simply enjoy a couple of hours away from screens and everyday responsibilities, there's something for you.

Painting & Pastels, Pottery, Lino Printing, Crochet, Creative Writing, Fashion Drawing…and much more.

No experience is needed for most workshops, all materials are provided, and you'll be warmly welcomed whether you come alone or with a friend.
We often hear people say, "I've always wanted to try that" – so perhaps this is your sign to give it a go!

What a wonderful half term we had at Hive Design Studio! 🎨✨

We welcomed lots of familiar faces back through our doors and met plenty of new ones too. Some children came with friends, some with siblings, and our family workshops saw the parents getting creative too.

We always start by learning names, followed by some guidance, and then everyone puts their own spin on the projects. Extra colours, new ideas and lots of creative confidence emerge along the way.

Perhaps our favourite moment? Seeing children so absorbed in creating that they weren't quite ready to leave when collection time arrived!

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We can't wait to do it all again this summer.

Summer arrived this week and we're so glad managed to fit us in for a shiny new window.

Looking for a party with a difference? 🎨✨
At Hive Design Studio in Sanderstead we host creative parties packed with colour, fun and hands-on making for ages 7+ with recent celebrations including mosaics, graffiti art, fabric painting and needle felting parties.

We take care of all the materials, set up and activity guidance… you just turn up with the cake 🎂

Perfect for children, teens and adults too if you fancy swapping the usual night out for something creative, sociable and memorable.

Whether your group loves getting messy with spray paint, trying something crafty for the first time or creating keepsakes to take home, we can help plan a party that feels a little different from the norm.

Someone recently said to us, “Maybe you offer too much variety…”
But we think that’s exactly the point!

Not everyone is looking for the same creative experience. Some people want a relaxing evening painting with friends, while others want to properly learn a new skill. Some are drawn to pottery, knitting, felting, mosaics or writing. Others just want a welcoming space to switch off, meet people and try something different.

We love that the studio gives people the chance to explore creativity in lots of different ways — without pressure and without needing to already think of yourself as “creative.”

The variety means there’s something for beginners, hobbyists, curious dabblers and lifelong makers alike.

And if you ever feel unsure about what to book, just ask. We genuinely love helping people find the workshop, class or creative experience that’s right for them.
