Just sharing some info from the race organiser groups!

The Scottish race dates are penciled in as follows but may still change.

5th April - Edinburgh
3rd May - Fife
24th May - Glasgow
14th June - Granite
5th July - Fife
26th July - Glasgow
23rd August - Edinburgh

BDRA CHANGES
We're still following the BDRA rules as last year, but there have been some changes and important information (at least the ones relevant to us):
You can't race with any of the HD video systems. While the timer can absolutely pick it up, it's not been well tested (especially by us) in a race event scenario. Even worse, you can only be spot by other people that have the same system. To be clear. nobody cares about the headset itself, as long as you transmit and receive analog video.
The final results now count towards BDRA points. We had a special exception to do this last year but now it's the norm --- other BDRA events used your qualifying rounds. We can either run triple mains (what we've been doing) or do double elimination.

OTHER CHANGES
Haven't seen this said anywhere else but it's maybe an obvious one:

In addition to showing us your insurance, you'll need to show us your flyer ID and operator ID
The operator ID must also be clearly visible on your drone.
Insurance was always a requirement on our part but the drone registration is literally the law, so we gotta check.

The 'British Championship Qualifying Events' calendar is filling up!

The top pilots from each region will be invited to the British Championship in Sept/Oct (Date TBC)

Each region will be awarded one BC invitation for each regional BCQE they host and two invites for a national. Each region has an upper cap of 8 invites.

Competitors attending 'national events' will also be featured in a national leaderboard of which the top 18 will receive an invitation to the champs!
