This was an update we all struggled to write.

Following Nigel’s recent specialist appointment and scan, we finally have some answers, although sadly they weren’t the ones we had hoped for. Nigel has been diagnosed with a severe intrahepatic liver shunt. This along with the damage caused by the heavy worm burden and parasites he suffered before coming into our care, he is unfortunately not a candidate for corrective surgery.

The specialists have explained that Nigel’s life expectancy is uncertain, with an estimated range of 1–5 years. While this is heartbreaking to hear, what matters most to us is making sure that however long Nigel has, it is filled with love, comfort and happiness ❤️

Like any dog with a condition like this, Nigel has days where he struggles. But thanks to the dedication and care he’s received since coming into rescue, he is also a happy, cheeky little boy who loves life on his own terms 😍

After a lot of thought, we made the difficult decision not to place Nigel up for public adoption. Instead, Nigel will be staying within the rescue family and moving in with our foster, Lauren’s, parents. This means he can enjoy the quiet, understanding home he needs, while also having Lauren close by to help guide his new family with his specialist diet, medication and ongoing care. So, while Lauren may no longer be his foster mum, she’ll always be his very proud big sister 🥹

We hope everyone understands and supports this decision. Nigel’s welfare has always been and always will be our priority. Thank you to everyone who has loved and supported Nigel throughout his journey so far. We promise to keep sharing updates on our gorgeous boy and we’re looking forward to making as many happy memories with him as we possibly can 🙏🏼

More good news…Rosie has finally found her forever! 🩷

Our gorgeous girl has found the patient, loving and fun filled home she truly deserves 🥹

She's now got a wonderful new sister, Delphine, who couldn't be a more perfect match for our Rosie. We can't wait to watch their friendship blossom! 🌸

The interest in offering Rosie her forever home was absolutely incredible and we were overwhelmed by the number of amazing applications she received. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to apply and opened their hearts to her 🙏🏼

We're beyond happy that Rosie has found her happily ever after and we wish her and her new family a lifetime of love, adventures and happiness 🥰

Our little siblings have found their forever homes! ❤️

Acer (now Joe) has settled in beautifully with his own forever family, where he’s loving life with his new big sister Nelly. Meanwhile, Clover has found her own perfect home and is already enjoying plenty of adventures with her new big sister Molly 😍

We couldn’t be happier knowing these two have each found the perfect happily ever after 🥹

Alba is ready to find her forever home! 🩷

Our beautiful 6 month old french bulldog is ready to start the next chapter of her life! Alba is an affectionate, playful little girl who loves attention and is guaranteed to keep you smiling with her sweet personality 🥹

She came into our care after experiencing a seizure but following constant monitoring and thorough investigations, our vets are confident this was an isolated incident.

Now all that’s left is for Alba to find the loving forever family she truly deserves 🙏🏼
