𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 // 📣

We have made the very difficult decision to cancel discotech In The Park and to pause discotech events for the foreseeable future.

We’re 14 years deep in this game. Promoting events around our day jobs, personal commitments, kids and life is hard work. It takes so much passion and resilience.

Jordan has a number of personal challenges at the moment and needs to able to focus on family instead of the stresses that events bring. We are both struggling to give discotech the time we need to ensure the event is a success. The last thing we would want to do is put something on that doesn’t reflect the standards we hold for ourselves.

The game is changing, costs are higher than ever for all of us. We can’t roll the dice as much as we used to on parties. With bigger operational costs comes larger risk and we can’t afford to take that risk. We’re an independent party. Everything comes out of ours / our family’s pockets. It’s no longer looking sustainable for us to continue how we are at the moment.

We’re absolutely gutted about this and are sorry to have let you down.

With the team having more commitments outside of discotech. We need some time to work on what this means moving forward and how we adapt and grow.
discotech has given us the best times of our lives. This is certainly not the end. We will continue to run the label, DJ and spend more time in the studio. There are some showcases outside of Derby confirmed as part of our 14 years tour. These will go ahead this year in Berlin, Birmingham, Leeds, London, Nottingham, Prague and the USA.

If you’ve ever come to any of our events, thank you. We’ve made friends for life and this has been the most amazing journey. We will be back when the time is right.
