Good News Wednesday!
As part of the September Devizes Food Festival, Devizes Area Board supported Sustainable Devizes to work in collaboration with St Andrews Church to run a hugely successful event - The Lovely Lunch. A full hall hosted two sittings of a two-course vegetarian meal enthusiastically enjoyed by people of all ages. The meal was either very low cost or free and was complemented by a number of stands ranging from an apple press to making cheese cloths and from repair shops to dried fruit making. The theme was around food and sustainability with fresh produce being supplied from Devizes own Plot 35 Devizes, a community run allotment. Many of those attending were inspired to try out new ideas or to get involved in the allotment. If you are interested in doing so, then email [email protected]
