Everyone at Killough FC is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Sarah, mother of one of our players Corey Martin

Sarah RIP

Died suddenly 27th June 2026.

Dearly beloved mother of Corey, Alex, Carl and Kalum. Cherished grandmother to River and Felix. Much loved daughter of Gerald and Patricia, loving sister to Conor, step sister to Aisling and Danny, dear aunt, niece and friend to many.

Sarah’s remains will be reposing in Seamus Fitzsimons Funeral Directors, 24 English Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6AB with the family in attendance on Tuesday 30 June and Wednesday 1st July 2026 from 6pm - 8pm.

Funeral on Thursday 2nd July at 10.00am in St Mary Star of the Sea Church, Killyleagh followed by interment in St Mary’s Cemetery, Comber Road.

The committee, players and members of Killough FC wish to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of Pat Groves on his passing.

Our thoughts are especially with his sons, Kevin, a former player and manager of our club, and Paddy, a current player and youth coach, along with the entire Groves family at this sad and difficult time.

May Pat rest in eternal peace. 💚💛

GROVES, 27th JUNE 2026, PAT, peacefully at his son’s home, 40 Main Street, Killough, husband of Maggie, much loved father of Patrick and Caoimhin, father-in-law of Scarlett and Rebecca, loving grandfather of Roman, Bruno, Beau and Georgia, a dear brother of Jane, Rita, Brenda, Edna, Roisin, Deirdre, Katrina, Bronagh and the late Danny, Moira and Bill and a friend to many.

Funeral Service will be held in Roselawn Crematorium on Friday 3rd July at 2:00pm.

Family and friends are welcome to call at 40 Main Street, Killough on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd July 3:00pm – 8:00pm.

Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
