Meet Ryan ❤️

Ryan is a 4-year-old Presa Canario who, sadly, had his ears cropped before coming into rescue. While some people think it gives him a tough appearance, we believe it’s a cruel and unnecessary practice. Thankfully, it hasn’t affected his wonderful nature one bit.

Despite his imposing looks, Ryan is one of the most gentle, placid, and loving dogs you could ever meet. His favourite place is curled up next to his human, fast asleep – he’s definitely a bed dog!

Ryan gets on well with most other dogs, although he can occasionally take a dislike to the odd one, particularly other males. Before coming into rescue, he was used for breeding and has fathered at least five litters with the same female.

When it comes to people, Ryan is simply incredible. He absolutely adores everyone he meets – even the postman! He doesn’t have a bad bone in his body and has so much love to give.

It’s heartbreaking that Ryan has been waiting so long for his forever home without much interest because his temperament truly is something special. He’s a firm favourite in his foster home, and whoever is lucky enough to adopt him will gain the most loyal, affectionate companion.
