Delivering large-scale BESS infrastructure is rarely a linear process.

At Wick Farm, Wiltshire, RADIX supplied and installed more than 1,100 screw pile foundations and custom steel interfaces across a live 208MWh battery storage project, supporting 52 CATL EnerC+ battery units, MV skids, LV boards and DC/DC cabinets.

With multiple contractors operating simultaneously, restricted access routes, ongoing trenching works and a railway line dividing the site, installation sequencing needed to remain flexible throughout. Using compact tracked machinery and a mobile installation approach, our teams adapted to changing work fronts while maintaining programme continuity.

The project also marked the first deployment of RADIX's custom 89mm helical screw piles on this type of BESS application, helping deliver a complete installation programme in just seven weeks.
