When something doesn’t feel right, checking in can be a powerful first step.

A simple “Are you okay?” can help someone feel noticed, believed and less alone. Whether it’s staying nearby, helping them get support, or giving them a way out of the situation, small actions matter.

You don’t need to know exactly what to say. You just need to care enough to act safely.

This summer, let’s look out for each other, where we can and when we can 💜

You don’t have to have the words yet.
You don’t have to explain everything.
You don’t have to be ready to talk about what happened.

Support can start gently, at your pace, and in a way that feels right for you.

Whether you’re thinking about reaching out, unsure if what you experienced “counts”, or just need someone to listen, WRASAC is here when you’re ready. 💜

Pride is important. 🏳️‍🌈

It is visibility, activism, safety, joy, resistance, love and community.

LGBTQIA+ people exist, always have and deserve to live freely, safely and unapologetically as themselves.

At WRASAC, our volunteers play an important role in supporting survivors, raising awareness, challenging stigma and helping us work towards a world free from sexual violence and abuse.

Whether it’s through social media, community awareness, campaigns or placements, every volunteer helps amplify voices, encourage conversations and create safer spaces for those impacted by sexual violence.

Volunteering can also be an opportunity to build confidence, gain experience, meet like-minded people and be part of a supportive community working towards real change.
