Among adults with newly diagnosed, drug-sensitive in high-burden countries, an mHealth program delivering text messages for ***co cessation was associated with higher quit rates and lower short-term mortality than written advice alone.

These findings demonstrate that mHealth approaches are feasible and effective for smoking cessation in tuberculosis patients where access to traditional cessation treatment is limited.
