Here are practical tips to prepare your property for rental – whether you’re renting it out for the first time or getting it ready for new tenants:

Deep Clean Everything
• Hire professional cleaners or do a top-to-bottom clean: walls, windows, floors, baseboards, appliances, cupboards, bathroom tiles.
• Don’t forget hidden spots like behind appliances or inside extractor fans.

Fix and Maintain
• Repair anything broken: leaky taps, squeaky doors, loose handles, cracked tiles.
• Check that all appliances and heating systems work safely.
• Make sure smoke alarms and CO detectors are in place and working.

Neutral Decor
• Touch up or repaint with light, neutral colors – they make spaces feel bigger and brighter.
• Keep furnishings (if included) clean, modern, and minimal.

Good Lighting
• Replace any dim or broken bulbs.
• Use warm, white lighting to make the place feel cozy and inviting.
• Clean light fixtures to brighten the space.
