Capability Scotland
Capability Scotland delivers exemplary care, support and education for disabled children and adults across Scotland.
We are thrilled to launch our brand-new Engagement and Involvement Strategy!
Our Deputy Director of Services, Sean, sums it up perfectly in the video below: this strategy puts the voices, choices, and experiences of the people we support at the heart of absolutely everything we do.
Over the next three years, we are focusing on meaningful involvement and co-production so that everyone has the power to shape their own support and drive change across our charity.
We were also delighted to speak with Suzanne and Mark for the launch today, and we're looking forward to hearing much more from them later in the year!
The new strategy is now live on our website and is available in accessible formats too. Click the link to read it now:

Today, we celebrated the graduation of our incredible second cohort at Corseford College! 🎉
It was a fantastic day filled with love, laughter, and a few happy tears as family, friends, and staff came together to recognise the outstanding achievements, resilience, and hard work of our remarkable students.
Our graduates leave us today having mastered new skills, built lifelong friendships, and created unforgettable memories. They are ready to step into their next exciting chapters and new pathways.
As Scotland’s first dedicated further education college for young people with complex additional support needs, we couldn't be prouder of the barriers these young adults continue to break.
We wish our graduates the absolute best for the future!

We are immensely proud to share that staff and supported individuals from Capability Scotland recently attended the Royal Garden Party at Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
It was a fantastic filled with unforgettable moments, including a special opportunity to chat with Prince Edward!
A massive congratulations to our incredible attendees, Linda, Nan Hearley (who has given 46 years service at Stanmore House School), Trisha, Gillian (who proudly represented us with an astounding 35 years of dedicated service) and Jenny, celebrating an amazing 29 years of service at our Upper Springland Studio ahead of her retirement this December.
In a crowd of over 8,000 people, the team even managed a heart warming chance encounter with Katie, one of our supported individuals from Dundee!
Thank you to our entire team for your unwavering commitment to empowering individuals across Scotland. Decades of care, creativity, and dedication deserve to be celebrated fit for royalty!
