Something new at Little Rascal - coffee by Mutual ☕
Alongside the wine, we’re now serving great coffee too. Don’t panic - we’re not trying to rival the brilliant spots we’re lucky to have around Corstorphine — we just wanted to serve a genuinely great coffee for designated drivers, lazy lunches, pastry pit-stops, midweek catch-ups, or anyone who fancies a coffee before a wine… or alongside one.
We’ve teamed up with our pal Bruce from Mutual Coffee, whose beans we’ll also have available to buy in small batches from the bar.
To celebrate, this Sunday during lunch we’ll be serving £2 coffees from 12–2pm, with Bruce himself behind the machine making them. Pop in, say hello, grab a coffee and a pastry, and hang out for a bit.
(Just a wee heads up — no takeaway coffees are available.)

A small change we’re really excited about.
From this week, Little Rascal is open on Sundays - giving us one more day to welcome you in for good wine, shared bottles with friends, and slow afternoons.
Bookings are now open - tag the friends you’d bring along🍷

CIDER
As the apple harvest is now in full swing here in the UK, with what is looking like a fantastic crop, we thought it would be a nice moment to highlight a beautiful cider we have in our fridges and in our glasses at the moment, the wonderful 2024 'P'tite Cuvee' from Cidrerie Du Golfe.
In the seaside town of Arradon in Brittany, Marc Abel and Max Brel, craft ciders from their 5ha of apple trees, with no additions or treatments on their land or trees, allowing nature to run its course and help them produce healthy fruit.
'P'tite Cuvee' is made from the sharp variety Guillevic, which is native to the area, and produces a lightly sparkling cider, with light tannins, and bursting with pear, green banana apple, and a spicy peppery finish.
Available now in the bar while stocks last!

CHENIN BLANC
A belter of a Chenin Blanc from Brendan Stater-West, hailing from Oregon.
Beginning his career working in a Parisian wine shop, he was selling the wines of Domaine Guiberteau, one of the benchmark producers in Saumur. After tasting a 2008 Brézé from the domaine he had something of a revelation and decided to up sticks from Paris to begin the next chapter of wine career.
He managed to land an apprenticeship with Romain Guiberteau and worked at the domaine until Romain proposed 1ha of a vineyard named 'Les Chapaudaises' that had the terroir to suit the style of wines Brendan sought to make.
The 2024 Saumur Blanc comes from a selection of north-east facing vines on the lower slope of the parcel, where there is a little more clay, sand and loam in the topsoil before hitting the limestone that is common here.
Ambient yeast ferment, around 8 months on lees in used barrels and modest sulfur additions.
The vines have been farmed organically long before Brendan took them on in 2015, and this is the ethos he has carried forward, unsurprising given his mentor.
Pure, chalky, and razor sharp with chamomile, citrus, fresh yellow orchard fruits and a lovely mineral core, a standout chenin blanc on our list at the moment.
