❔ What is Micropigmentation for lip tissue?

Maybe you have heard of the term “lip blush?” Let’s discuss what this treatment is and what it isn’t: ⬇️

✅ Micropigmentation is a process that implants pigment into the superficial layers of the dermis. In this case, we are adding custom blended pigment into the superficial lip tissue which means that it is not permanent!
✅ A means of giving the illusion of more defined lips by adding pigmentation to the vermillion border
✅ Adding colour to lips that lack depth and colour
✅ Improving symmetry if the lip tissue was previously augmented by fillers and the lip border is no longer defined. Lip lines sometimes fade with age and often do with filler stretching the tissue.

What lip blush is not: ⬇️

❎ A permanent lip tattoo: it will last 2-3 years but not indefinitely. A specialist know the depth to implant.
❎ ‘A one size fits all’ - I will need to work with the tone of your natural lip tissue and the shape of this. For example, a client may have freckles they wish to cover which will involve a tone cover and then a pigment layer. Each client needs their own custom blend for their preferences in healed shade
❎ A get out card for lip care… This is key. Lips become dehydrated, dry and chap and so, it is essential that clients follow lip care before treatment and after to preserve the integrity of the lip tissue. There is no alternative for after care

✨ Lip Blushing | Micropigmentation ✨

Many of you have messaged to enquire about lip blush and what it is!

Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent makeup and an art! It is designed to enhance the natural shape, colour, and definition of your lips.💋

Micropigmentation works by carefully implanting pigment into the skin using a specialised machine, creating a soft, natural tint that restores faded lip colour, improves symmetry, and adds a fuller-looking finish. It’s a perfect treatment for those wanting a pop of definition without fillers. Do not worry, it doesn’t last forever: our preferences for lip shade changes! You can expect results to last 2-3 years and for colour to fade by roughly 70% to give you a wash of glossed colour as opposed to full coverage lipstick (although this is possible to achieve and is requested).
