MUD IS FUN! For most children and adults, playing in the mud is intrinsically fun, plain and simple. While adults like to understand the full sphere of why mud play is so good for our children, kids will just instinctively play in it. Especially when their parents encourage them to with one of our military event days! Children don’t need to understand why this type of play is important to their development. What’s important is that we provide opportunities for them to do it – and give them permission to get dirty!

The most important thing for parents is to understand that letting children run free and explore the environment, is healthy for their mental and physical development. We should not imprison children in the adult world, but promote their free play, their ability to get surprised and leave them free to explore their environment through the five senses, if they wish.

We all know we need to find ways to get moving. WOMP is all about providing events to get everyone off screens, encouraging them to enjoy being outside. You might have some extra washing…but you are going to love it! And don’t be surprised if you enjoy stalking and as much as the children do! https://bit.ly/3wWklNF
