We rehomed Shadow a year ago and have received this wonderful update from his family 💙

We love to hear how pets are getting on, and it sounds like Shadow has really landed on his paws!

'One whole year with Shadow. 🖤

I genuinely couldn't imagine our family without his salty little self now.😅🖤

He's definitely not a cuddly cat. In a whole year, I think he's laid on my lap... once. Funnily enough, it was after we lost our beautiful 16-year-old cat, Esmae, to cancer. I swear he knew I needed him that day.

Don't get me wrong, he loves a good head fuss, but only on his terms. And he has absolutely no problem letting you know when he's had enough!

Every now and then he'll let me pick him up for a cuddle if I hold him just right. He tilts his head into my face for a little chin scratch, starts purring, melts my heart... and then decides that's enough affection for one week.

He still loves his toe bean massages though when snoozing in the cat tree!

Mostly though, he's just hilarious.

He's obsessed with his Felix treats, constantly demands to go outside, and if he can't, his dramatic meows will make sure the whole house knows about it. Then, when he wants to come back in, he pounds on the door like the Feds are outside.

He's also completely smitten with Nova. (We adopted her locally last year shes a female kitten (spayed))
Watching the pair of them tear around the house at night, setting up little jump scares for each other around corners, is better than anything on TV.

He's cost us a few scares and vet bills after discovering he isn't actually the toughest cat on the street, but we've now got every cone, spray and bit of advice ready for the next time he picks a fight he can't win. Our vets said hes a beautiful affectionate soul.

His favourite place is stretched out in the middle of the floor, soaking up the sun... and yes, I've only mistaken him for a tea towel once. 🤣

Happy Gotcha Day, Shadow. Here's to many more years of treats, sunshine, questionable life choices, and making this house feel even more like home. 🖤'

This morning before the heat hit, our team, foster carers and adopters were up bright and early making sure that todays pets going off to new homes weren't travelling in the hot weather!

We waved goodbye to Piran and Obsidian the kittens and Panda the Persian as they all headed off to their new beginnings 🥰

Well isn't this the sweetest photo ever of Sweetcorn the mouse who went home yesterday!

He's been neutered and will soon be moving in with 4 female mice, whilst he settles in to his home, he's been getting cosy and burrowing away, making himself this lovely little sleeping spot 🥹🥰
