A pa******le cop has been jailed for grooming and s*xually abusing a vulnerable 13-year-old girl

Haider Siddique befriended the victim on Snapchat after she saw he was posting about women’s rights.

The 23-year-old, who was a trainee officer at West Midlands Police, went on to have full s*xual in*******se with her on two occasions, causing the girl to become concerned she may have fallen pregnant.

Siddique from Allwood Gardens, Bartley Green was only arrested when a bus driver raised the alarm at seeing him stroking her back, hugging and kissing her while she was in school uniform.

He eventually admitted two charges of s*xual activity with a child half way through his trial earlier this year, just before the victim was about to be cross-examined.

A further offence of child abduction, which he denied, was ordered to lie on the file.

Judge Sarah Buckingham concluded it did not ‘excuse or explain’ his actions, for which she sentenced him to seven years and seven months.

Siddique joined the police force in August 2021 as a student officer. He attended Stechford Police Station with the victim on March 11 the following year over an unrelated matter.

Siddique claimed the girl was a friend of his sister’s who wanted to understand more about Islam. Officers drove her home separately and asked about the nature of her association with Siddique because ‘things simply didn’t add up’, said prosecutor Tim Ashmore.

Then on March 22 that year a bus driver saw them together and recognised the girl from previous journeys.

Mr Ashmore said: “He saw the defendant sitting close to her and talking to her whilst touching her back. The defendant got off the bus and hugged her. He became concerned and contacted the police.”

During the subsequent investigation the victim told officers she had had s*x with Siddique on two occasions.

An emergency contraceptive pill and a negative pregnancy test were recovered from her belongings.

They had also ‘declared their love for each other’ in messages while Siddique had text the victim’s mother, posing as a friend’s parent, to ask if the girl could stay over.

He later shamelessly claimed the victim had blackmailed him into having s*x with her.

Siddique was also made the subject of a restraining order banning future contact with the victim and her mother as well as a S*xual Harm Prevention Order.

A photographer accused of s*x offences involving five women aged between 16 and 20 has been found guilty of five of the charges at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

Simon ‘Sid’ Scott, 44, stood accused of a catalogue of s*xual assault and indecent behaviour charges – involving women aged between 16 and 20 – the crimes taking place during photo shoots in Aberdeen and Glasgow.

A lengthy police investigation into Scott’s crimes involved officers sifting through thousands of his photographs – 150,000 of which were found to contain eroticism or nudity.

Scott’s lawyer previously claimed his client was the victim of a “witch-hunt”.

The trial was told Scott had more than 100,000 followers on Instagram and worked with professional modelling agencies in Scotland and London.

He was arrested in 2020, after a post appeared on social media calling for any women who had experiences with him they thought to be criminal to report it to police.

During their investigation, cybercrime officers sifted through several million images from Scott’s storage devices.

A jury of nine women and six men took just under six hours to find the professional photographer guilty by majority of five charges.
Not proven verdicts were returned to the remaining seven charges.

Scott, of Sunnyside Road, Aberdeen, sat motionless as the verdicts were read out.

Fiscal depute Lynne MacVicar had urged jurors to convict Scott, describing him as a “manipulative”, “opportunistic” and “predatory” s*x offender.

She added: “The Crown’s position is that there is an underlying theme of exploiting situations often in a wholly calculating way.”

Sheriff Morag McLaughlin made Scott subject to the s*x offenders register and deferred sentence until September 1 in order for a criminal justice social work report and a restriction of liberty order assessment to be carried out.

The 44-year-old was released on bail.
Scott was found guilty of the following charges:

S*xually assaulting a 19-year-old woman during a Christmas Eve photo-shoot at City Dance Moves, Aberdeen, in 2015

S*xually assaulting a 20-year-old woman between 2015 to 2016, at the Jurys Inn Hotel in Aberdeen.

S*xually assaulting a 19-year-old girl during a photo-shoot in a bedroom at the CitizenM hotel, in Glasgow’s Renfrew Street, in December 2015

S*xually assaulting a 19-year-old woman in her Aberdeen home in April 2016

S*xually assaulting a 17-year-old schoolgirl at Glasgow’s CitizenM Hotel in February 2017.

A children’s entertainer, now serving 30 years for ra**ng and s*xually abusing seven young girls, has been attacked in prison.

Magician Paul McKee who was known professionally as Professor Paulos, suffered serious injuries after the assault which happened while he was on remand awaiting trial.

Liverpool Crown Court heard that the 57-year-old was struck just one blow in the face by another prisoner, Ryan Kenny, but it knocked him out before he hit the floor and he sustained more injuries on landing.

Kenny claimed to a prison officer that McKee, who had been sitting down, had just fallen over but when it was pointed out that he had witnessed the attack, Kenny said: “Well he shouldn’t fiddle kids then.” - Which is ironic as hes on the s*x offenders register himself - See 1st comment for his criminal history

McKee, formerly of Wallasey Village, Wirral, who had to be extradited from Thailand to face trial, suffered a broken jaw, fractured ribs on both sides, a fractured vertebrae and a collapsed lung.

29-year-old Kenny, of no fixed address, has 70 previous convictions and at the time of the attack was serving 28 months for offences including s*xually assaulting a teenage college student while she was travelling on a bus

Chris Hopkins, prosecuting, said that the incident happened at Altcourse prison in Liverpool about 8am on February 15 while McKee was using a kiosk to use email facilities.

“Kenny stood behind him and he was pestering him to hurry up and without warning punched him once to the right side of his face.”

Mr Hopkins said it was obvious from the CCTV footage that McKee had not seen it coming and had no chance to defend himself and he appeared to be unconscious before he hit the ground. Kenny walked off to his cell.

Kenny pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm and his barrister Fiona McNeill explained, “something was said which he took exception to.”

This resulted in him reacting in the way he did and hitting him. He was aware of the allegations McKee faced and “saw him in a certain light.”

She said it was accepted that the case involved grave harm but it had been a spontaneous act involving just one punch.

Sentencing Kenny to 18 months imprisonment Judge Robert Trevor-Jones said that he accepted it had been spontaneous and did not involve repeated blows.

He described his previous convictions and the fact it took place in a prison environment as aggravating factors.

Paul McKee was jailed in June for 13 s*x offences involving seven victims and spanning almost 25 years.

During his trial, he was described as a “predatory pa******le” who treated young girls and toddlers “like little s*x slaves” whilst filming himself abusing them

McKee, a Mormon who was said to be “from a religious family with strong links to the Church of the Latter Day Saints”, was by now living in Thailand and had to be returned to this country in order to face a jury.

When his brother messaged him on Facebook after learning of the allegations, the serial s*x offender replied saying he was “sorry for what he had and done and was asking for God’s forgiveness”.
