Ladies Summer league v Pink Heart Sapphires

Our Exeter league ladies took another strong win on monday evening..

These girls just keep improving.
Fast paced on turnovers and great shooting was our strength .

We welcomed Amy to the squad today and what a shift at c she put in! 🔥

Shout out to zaylea volshenk for players POM! Fantastic shooting in that GA position .

Mixed League vs. Warwick Uni

We went all the way to Warwick on Sunday for our next mixed match against a young and enthusiastic Warwick Uni Team.

With only 4 ladies available, we had to be versatile! Clare Elsley stepped into the defensive circle and Kelly Flook played GA for the first time in years! We started strong and kept that momentum for the whole 60 minutes.

Our team defense was really strong, and that got us a comfortable 42-22 win in the end.

Big shout-out to Bex Peperell for OPOM and Lexi Beale for Players POM. You both did some fantastic attacking work and shooter feeds! 🔥🔥

Regional Playoffs

What a morning!
With no league and no training, this newly formed team played an absolute blinder.
We had 3 matches to play and lead out every match, being up in the 1st half of every match.
Sadly, the lack of those final connections you gain with a league meant that just a couple of minor errors in each match was enough to make the difference between 1st and 4th.

But club history has been made today!
2 years ago we did not have a ladies team and today, this incredible squad played for a place in regional netball against clubs that have been established for decades!
It wasn't quite our day today, but we will be back next year stronger and hungrier.

The rain didn't stop play tonight!
What a whole squad performance.
Fluid play through court, defensive turnovers and sharp shooting meant we were in cobtrol the whole match!

MIXED LEAGUE :
The team totally crushed it this Sunday, winning big with a 56-13 victory!!
With an almost full squad, they really nailed the strategies they'd been working on in training.
Our simple aim was to work on our defensive systems and they certainly did that!
We were strong and structured and this led to turnovers galore! Still some way to go, but for today, job done!

Huge shout out to ._williamson_ on her debut!
And Ella Harrison for being players' POM for incredible defensive turnovers and
for sharp shooting and getting another OPOM.

Summer league ☀️
And the ladies are back!
It was the 1st Summer league match last night and it was full of drama!
Playing a team 2 divisions higher the squad of just 7 came out flying. Clinical play into the shooters on our attack saw a goal for goal start in the 1st Q.
Sadly, early in the 2nd Q we suffered an injury and we no subs, the squad had to battle through with only 6 players .
They drew the 2nd Q but had a slight wobble in the 3rd as they adapted to a player down , couple of our own errors and the opposition capitalised with strong shooting.
The girls put in a really gutsy last Q, with multiple clean flying intercepts to Win the last Q 10-7! What a way to finish!

Sadly the result was 35-42 loss, but with only 6 agsinst a team 2 Divs above us is an incredible result and shows how well the team played!

Mixed league v Stunts
The Bank holiday Sunday showdown with the 2024 National champions was intense.
Despite missing a lot of key players, we used the opportunity to introduce 3 new Dynamites.
Our new defensive lineup was thrown in at the deep end against Stunts' attack.
We started strong, using turnovers to build a small lead.
However, Stunts soon found their stride, and some errors allowed them to dominate.
Positional tweaks helped us stabilize, and we managed to draw the 3rd quarter.
Stunts' class told in the end, winning 65-43.
Huge debuts for Martyn, playing his 1st Ever competitive netball match and to Ella, and Zoe - 1st outing as a dynamite.. can't wait to see what the future holds for them.
We'll take the lessons and come back hungrier.
