Curran Care

We are currently expanding our enabling support service for children and adults with recognised special needs.

Who are we?
Curran Care is an organisation that aims to bring the community together. We offer 1-1 and group support services primarily in and around Exeter; we also offer some services throughout Devon. We provide tailed programs for people that have recognised special needs and cater for the specific needs of the individuals and families. We work with young people and adults who are designated to be on the autistic spectrum, have Down syndrome and young people with physical disabilities & Learning difficulties.

What do we believe in?
We want to allow clients and their families to have a role in deciding how their support is delivered. We believe in working closely with families because it allows us to deliver good quality sessions that meet the needs of the individual. All sessions are person centred and we work hard to match the right enabler to our client. Curran Care offers sessions that the individual will enjoy and gain the most from, this may be using indoor or outdoor environments.
The main aim of Curran Care is to make a positive difference to the lives of people who have additional needs and to their families.

Whats our history?
Curran Care was founded by Hallam Curran. He has been providing enabling sessions for children with special needs for over 5 years. Over this time, he has built up a wide understanding and knowledge and has channelled this into developing a respite service at Curran Care. At University Hallam studied outdoor adventure in Exeter and wants to enable as many clients as possible to experience outdoor based activities, if they want to. Careful planning and adapting’s of the activities along with thorough risks assessments make this possible.
