There are certain projects where you understand the importance of them long before the final handover.

Mark Smith, MD of HACS, visiting the new Yorkshire Air Ambulance facility in North Yorkshire, a development designed to strengthen the operational capability of a service that many people across rural Yorkshire may one day rely upon.

One of the more interesting parts of this project has been the balance between complex infrastructure and practical delivery. Beneath every visible part of the scheme sits months of planning around utilities, access coordination and end-user requirements, much of which never appears in the finished photographs, despite being fundamental to how the site will eventually function.

At HACS, we have always believed that successful construction relies upon staying close to the realities of the ground itself. Our roots in agriculture and civil works continue to shape the way projects are approached, with practical experience, communication and long term thinking remaining central throughout delivery.

It's a privilege for HACS to play a part in a project of such importance to Yorkshire.

The HACS team were out in force this morning supporting BBC Radio 2's Sara Cox on the start line of her final leg of the 135 mile running challenge for BBC Children in Need. What a hero! Everyone at HACS is wishing her lots of luck for what will no doubt be a challenging day ahead, you can do it girl!! 🧡
