25th of May and the inhabitants of this ‘Grapefruit’ sized Median Wasp nest had already claimed 2 unsuspecting victims as they cut and tidied the Laurel bush.
This is the second of 3 successful treatments today… it’s started!!🐝

Hornets in Plaxtol.
It’s continuing to be a busy Hornet year.
Quite a large nest (or two).
The ‘grub’ was 1 of many super sized ‘Queen’ grubs in the nest, as well as new eggs in some of the cells meaning Despite the cooler wet weather lately, this nest (if untreated) would have continued for at least another 6 weeks!!
