Have you been enjoying the World Cup over the past few weeks? ⚽

After France qualified for the knockout stages, it got us thinking about an exciting time in Leeds Trinity’s 60-year history.

Back in 1996, the University hosted the French national team at our Horsforth Campus during the European Championships. Their squad at the time included legendary players such as Zinedine Zidane and Laurent Blanc, as well as their current manager Didier Deschamps 🤩

Leeds Trinity University will always hold a special place in the hearts of Mike and Bridget Bryan 🧡

The couple were part of the first cohort of students in 1966 to study at Trinity College and All Saints College – the teacher training colleges from which the modern-day Leeds Trinity originated.

As the institution celebrates its 60th anniversary, Mike and Bridget have reflected on their time at college, and how the skills learnt prepared them for what would be successful and influential careers in education.
