🌡️With summer and the warmer weather making its appearance, we understand it might be an uncomfortable time for your little ones.

☀️ Here are a couple of tips to help tame skin irritation when wearing Starband helmets in the hot summer:

→ To avoid head rash, dress infants in lightweight clothing and limit time in the sun
→ To tame existing skin conditions, remove the orthosis when changing nappies and pat dry both the baby and Starband with a clean towel before reapplying the orthosis

Orthotic support plays an important role in the long-term care of those with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, helping maintain posture, support breathing, and prevent scoliosis.

Marley's made-to-measure spinal brace and KAFO's help to support his independence and strength, allowing him to sit up on his own for limited time periods!
