Well, the last couple of weeks have been a hot joy here at OK Comics.
We've been looking forward to helping promote and launch Gigs since we knew it was happening. Seven years in the making.

Si Smith, local legend and friend of the shop has been making great, personal comics for years.
Mark Johnson, now writing as Mark Mosedale, was one of the first OK Comics staff members, dating right back to the original OK Comics, 10 Market Street Arcade.
He is truly one of the architects of OK Comics.. His influence cannot be quantified. This shop, and indeed my life, would be very different without him in it.

Gigs is set in a northern town, twenty something years from now, focusing on a group of people getting by in a world where Ai has gobbled up any real employment opportunities for normal people. To make ends meet, you've go to qualify for Universal Basic Income. To do that you have to take part time, short term jobs, or gigs whenever the app sends you one.

It's a bleak setting, but these interconnected short stories are uplifting and enriching, full of humanity!
Mark and Si have created something really special here.
