Yesterday I attended training in Sculptra, another injectable biostimulator that I’ll be offering in clinic alongside Radiesse.

Not every biostimulator is suitable for every patient and that’s why I feel it’s important to offer a range of options tailored to individual concerns, anatomy, skin quality and overall goals.

Unlike traditional filler, Sculptra works by stimulating your body’s own collagen production. It contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) which gradually helps restore skin structure, firmness and volume over time. Results develop gradually as collagen production increases, meaning the outcome is subtle and natural looking rather than an instant “filled” appearance.

Most patients begin to notice improvement around 6 to 12 weeks following treatment, with results continuing to improve over the following months. Results can last up to 2 years or sometimes longer depending on the individual, treatment plan and lifestyle factors.
