Garston Veteran Appreciation Community Fun Day

We are delighted to announce that the Garston Veteran Appreciation Community Fun Day is going ahead on:

This special community event is a chance for us all to come together to celebrate and appreciate our veterans, Armed Forces community and everyone who has served our country.

As councillors, we recognise that veterans can sometimes be overlooked, especially during times of vulnerability. This event aims to raise awareness of the support available, bring people together, and shine a spotlight on our veteran community.

There will be plenty happening throughout the day, including community stalls, enertainment, inflatables, activities, support organisations, and opportunities to meet local groups. We have ensured there are activities for all ages and abilities.

We will also be fundraising to create a Remembrance Area within Garston Park, including a commemorative Armed Forces-themed bench — a lasting place for reflection and remembrance for generations to come.
