One mistake I made when I started my wellness journey?

I tried to be PERFECT.

I thought I had to eat clean 100% of the time.

I identified food as good or bad.

One slip-up meant I failed

I had to be disciplined ALL the time

And you know what happened?

I burnt out. I binged. I gave up.

Over and over and over.

Then I learned something that changed everything:

Perfection isn’t the goal. GRACE is.

The day I stopped trying to be perfect and started giving myself grace?

That’s when everything shifted.

I stopped binging.I stopped feeling guilty.I stopped
quitting every time I slipped up.

Because I finally understood: One slip-up is NOT
failure. It’s just being HUMAN.

How to Know If You’re Actually Hungry (or Just Emotional)

Pause before you eat. Don’t just grab food automatically.

Ask yourself: “Would I eat an apple right now?”

If YES, you’re probably hungry.

If NO, you’re probably emotional/bored.

Check in with your body. When did you last eat?
(If less than 3 hours, probably not hunger just drink water)

What are you feeling? (Stressed? Bored? Overwhelmed?)

If you’re NOT hungry, ask: “What do I REALLY need right now?”Rest? A walk? A conversation? 5 minutes of quiet?

Give yourself what you ACTUALLY need.

This may look so simple but it is highly effective. Try it today.

Which step is hardest for you? I would like to know.

Grace over guilt. Always ❤️

Let me bust one myth that I hear a lot of women say, “Wellness is for women who have time.”

But the reality is that wellness is what MAKES you feel like you have time.

You don’t need a spa day.
You don’t need a perfect morning routine.
You don’t need 2 hours in the gym.

Small pockets of intentionality create big shifts.

• 3 minutes of deep breathing
• swapping one meal for something nourishing
• sleeping 30 minutes earlier

That’s balance.
That’s self-respect for God’s temple
That’s wellness.”

Grace over guilt. Always❤️

When Last Did You Actually Rest?

Yesterday, I did something I haven’t done in a LONG time.

I watched a movie. For 4 hours.

And when I finished, I asked myself:

“When last did I actually do this?

I’ve been on annual leave.
And because my work piled up, I spent the first few days of my leave trying to catch up on everything I needed to do.

Cleaning. Organizing. Planning. Working on my to-do list.

But yesterday?

I was TIRED. And for once, I actually LISTENED.
I slept off and once I woke up. I netflixed and chilled🍿🎉🎊🍾❤️

And I watched it from start to finish without putting it on 2x speed.

4 hours.

No phone. No multitasking. No guilt

Just me. And rest.

And when it was over, I realized something:

I couldn’t remember the last time I did that.

When was the last time I just… RESTED?

Without feeling guilty.Without thinking about the to-do list.Without rushing to the next thing.

I couldn’t remember.

And that’s when I knew:
I need to SCHEDULE rest.

Not as a “reward” for being productive. Not as something I do “when I have time.”

But as something NON-NEGOTIABLE.

Just like I schedule. Work. Food. Tasks. Meetings. Appointments.

I need to schedule REST.

You and I know that, if I don’t schedule it, it won’t happen.

Life will keep filling the space.

The to-do list will keep growing.

And I’ll keep running on empty.

So now I’m learning that rest is not optional. Rest is ESSENTIAL.

And if I don’t protect it, no one else will.

What about you?

When’s the last time you ACTUALLY rested without guilt, without multitasking, without rushing?

Grace over guilt. Always.❤️
