The recently published NHS Staff Survey found 41% of NHS staff aged 21–30 say they often or always feel burnt out, and nearly half have been unwell due to work‑related stress. Only 24% are satisfied with pay.

Our white paper exploring the flexible workforce experience in healthcare showed the same pattern: Gen Z workers value flexibility, autonomy and clearer development pathways more than any generation before them. The NHS Staff Survey reinforces just how vital these conditions are for keeping early‑career staff engaged and supported.

The 6th of April 2026 is approaching fast. Do you understand your tax risk?

Joint and several liability will reshape accountability across staffing supply chains. If tax is underpaid anywhere, responsibility can extend far beyond umbrella companies to agencies, MSPs and even end clients.

Our Director of Strategic Partnership, a trained accountant and compliance specialist, Charles Harradine, breaks down what this means, including:

◾ Why end clients can now be financially exposed
◾ How poorly governed agencies increase risk
◾ Why governance, not banning umbrellas, is the answer

From April 2026, organisations will need better visibility and control of their supply chains. Acacium Group MSP models are underpinned by clear governance, technologies and auditability.
If you don’t have that level of oversight in your supply chain, now’s the time to act.

Strong partnerships and a controlled preferred supplier list (PSL) can cut your exposure to the upcoming joint and several liability legislation, but only when they deliver real governance, visibility and control.

From the 6th of April, HMRC can pursue agencies, MSPs and end clients if an umbrella company underpays tax. A controlled PSL removes blind spots, strengthens accountability and ensures every umbrella in your supply chain is compliant.

In this video, our Director of Strategic Partnerships, Charles Harradine, breaks down:
◾ Why strong partnerships and a controlled PSL are critical in this new landscape

The message is clear. April 2026 demands better visibility and stronger governance. Our MSP model is built around a tightly governed PSL, real‑time technology and continuous auditing.

If you don’t have that level of oversight, now’s the time to act.

42.36% of NHS staff reported being unwell due to work‑related stress in the recently published 2025 NHS Staff Survey.

The results show continued pressure on NHS teams, with almost one in three feeling burnt out and more than two-thirds saying staffing levels prevent them from doing their jobs properly.

We believe flexible approaches to workforce planning can play a supportive role in easing pressure and improving staff experience. Our white paper, which examined the experience of more than 26,000 flexible healthcare workers, explored how systems can strengthen resilience and protect the wellbeing of permanent teams.

Coaching women to lead | A leading global healthcare delivery partner 09/03/2026

In the independent healthcare sector, women continue to face structural barriers in progressing into leadership. The data on representation, pay and visibility shows progress is happening, but not fast enough and the sector still loses significant talent as a result.

For International Women’s Day, Claire Wallace, Director of Communications and lead of our Responsible Business network, reflects on how coaching can support women to navigate these challenges.

This year’s theme, Give to Gain, aligns directly with the principle of coaching: giving time, space and constructive challenge so others can build confidence, clarity and practical steps towards leadership.

Claire’s blog explores the realities women face, the themes that consistently emerge in coaching conversations and how small, deliberate acts of support can make a measurable difference.
