Recovery Coach opportunities – Recover with Pride

Recover with Pride is the UK’s first dedicated LGBTQ+ gambling harm support programme, led by Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard in partnership with Reframe Coaching and the University of Brighton.

We are recruiting Recovery Coaches to support LGBTQ+ people experiencing gambling harms and those affected by someone else’s gambling.

Recovery Coaches help people explore their experiences, develop recovery strategies, and move towards healthier and more stable lives through trauma-informed support.

These opportunities are open to LGBTQ+ people with lived experience of gambling harms, either through their own experience or through being affected by someone else’s gambling.

✨ Coach & Mentor ✨

During our introduction calls we are very clear about the support you will receive from our Recovery Coaches.

Coaching often gets compared and sometimes confused with Mentoring. The principles can seem very similar but the delivery is actually very different.

A mentor will guide you through what you are going to do and tell you how you are going to do it.

A Recovery Coach will work with you on where YOU want to go and how YOU want to get there.

✅ Coaching is about about supporting you to feel empowered.

In recovery, we believe that lasting change doesn’t come from being told what to do (although there is definitely a place for this) it comes from discovering your own motivation, your own direction and your own solutions.

However, at Reframe Coaching, we walk alongside you to do this, helping to remove the overwhelm.
