97.6% of patients prescribed cannabis-based medicines for anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder reported an improvement in symptoms, according to a first-of-its-kind UK multi-clinic patient survey.
For patients living with complex, treatment-resistant conditions, symptom improvement can have a significant impact on daily life.
Sometimes, meaningful progress looks like:
✅ Feeling more stable day to day
✅ Sleeping more consistently
✅ Managing symptoms more effectively
✅ Participating more fully in work, relationships and everyday routines
What this data brings into focus:
🌿 Patient-reported outcomes deserve thoughtful clinical attention
🌿 Symptom improvement should be viewed alongside wider quality-of-life measures
🌿 Prescribed medical cannabis should be understood within a regulated, specialist-led framework
🌿 Emerging real-world evidence can help move the conversation beyond stigma
Survey data is not a substitute for randomised controlled trials, and prescribed medical cannabis is not suitable for every patient. However, when a large group of patients consistently report meaningful improvements in symptoms and quality of life, those experiences should not be dismissed.
At Mamedica, we believe the discussion around prescribed medical cannabis should be guided by evidence, patient experience and responsible clinical oversight.

More than 6,000 patients across four of the UK’s largest medical cannabis clinics participated in a first-of-its-kind multi-clinic patient survey, including 5,128 patients prescribed treatment for anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder.
Among this group, 92.3% reported improved sleep.
For many patients living with complex, treatment-resistant conditions, sleep is not a small outcome. It can influence emotional regulation, physical recovery, daily functioning and overall quality of life.
What this data brings into focus:
✅ Sleep can be a meaningful marker of patient progress
✅ Patient-reported outcomes deserve careful clinical attention
✅ Prescribed medical cannabis should not be conflated with recreational use
✅ Real-world evidence can help build a clearer picture of patient experience
Survey data is not a replacement for randomised controlled trials, and prescribed medical cannabis is not appropriate for every patient. However, when thousands of patients consistently report improvements in symptoms, sleep and quality of life, those experiences should form part of a balanced, evidence-led discussion.
At Mamedica, we believe patient experience, specialist oversight and emerging real-world evidence all have an important role to play in shaping more informed conversations around prescribed medical cannabis in the UK.

We’re pleased to see Mamedica featured in Yahoo Finance, following the launch of a first-of-its-kind UK medical cannabis consortium survey exploring patient-reported outcomes among more than 6,000 patients.
The survey brought together data from patients across Mamedica, , and , creating one of the largest pooled snapshots of real-world patient experience in the UK medical cannabis sector to date.
Among more than 5,000 patients prescribed cannabis-based medicines for anxiety, depression or PTSD:
✅ 97.6% reported improvements in symptoms
✅ 92.3% reported improved sleep
✅ 93.5% reported improved day-to-day functioning
✅ 90.7% said CBPMs were more effective than previous treatments they had tried
What this piece brings into focus:
🍃 Real-world patient outcomes deserve a place in evidence-led healthcare conversations
🍃 Prescribed medical cannabis should not be conflated with recreational use
🍃 Patient-reported improvements in sleep, functioning and quality of life can be clinically meaningful
🍃 Greater collaboration across the sector can help build a clearer picture of patient experience in the UK
Importantly, this data does not position medical cannabis as a cure-all or a suitable treatment for every patient. Instead, it highlights the value of listening carefully to patients who have often lived with complex, treatment-resistant conditions and may not have found adequate relief through previous approaches.
At Mamedica, we believe the conversation around prescribed medical cannabis should be guided by evidence, specialist clinical oversight and openness to emerging real-world data.
We’re proud to have contributed to this important sector-wide collaboration and to support greater transparency around patient outcomes in the UK.

Season Finale.
Bad backs.
Sleepless nights.
Stress.
Pain.
The sort of things people learn to live with because they don’t think there’s another conversation to have.
Rory thinks differently.
Behind every whisper, every raised eyebrow and every misunderstanding, there are real people simply looking for answers.
And sometimes, the right conversation changes everything.
