GENUINE MISTAKE ON SET - swipe to see the moment of doom 🙈💣

Oftentimes, when we shoot a stop motion we build the set first, do the styling and then record the sequence backwards. This helps to really nail the composition and also gives us more information on how things behave.

Last year, we shot a campaign for Pret and one of the animation was a massive cake, all made with Pret goodies. We built the whole set up, balancing out each layer. During the animation, in the last few frames, we took one drink off the plate and the whole thing went and ended up on the floor. I remember my first sentence was “ I can’t believe that just happened” 😂 we then quickly rebuilt the whole thing and luckily the new cake looked much better than the previous one.
