The BEST Bun Recipe Ever (No Yeast Smell!) 🥖✨
One of the biggest turn-offs for me in homemade bread or buns is that strong yeast smell. 😖
This recipe? ZERO yeast smell - just soft, fluffy, delicious buns!
I use instant yeast because it’s quick, and honestly, who has the patience when cravings hit?
Ingredients (Makes 4 Big Buns)
All Purpose Flour – 250 g
Milk Powder – 2 tbsp
Warm Water – 90 g
Warm Milk – 50 g
Instant Yeast – 4 g
Sugar – 2 tsp
Unsalted Butter – 3 tbsp
Salt – ¼ tsp
In your stand mixer bowl, combine warm water, warm milk, salt, sugar, butter, and instant yeast. Give it a quick mix.
Add flour and milk powder. Knead at speed 4 for about 10 minutes, until the dough turns soft and slightly sticky.
Remove the dough, shape it into a ball, coat the top with a little oil and place on a baking tray, cover with a towel, and let them rise for about 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 180°C. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until golden brown.
Brush the tops with a thin layer of melted butter while still hot.
I made easy cheesy garlic bread but they’re heavenly on their own. 😍
Note :-
Water temperature matters - keep it lukewarm, not hot, or you’ll kill the yeast.
A perfectly proofed dough will be soft and spring back when poked.
I leave mine in a dark spot to rise, but any warm place works.
You can use bread flour for an even fluffier texture.
