This video is a little glimpse into my son's world. ❤️

He communicates in his own way. Often, if he wants something, he'll take your hand and lead you to it rather than asking with words. When he's overwhelmed and has a meltdown, we sometimes need to quickly work out what he needs to help him feel safe and settled again.

Food can be a challenge too – like many autistic children, he has a very limited diet and mainly eats beige foods. And although he loves being out and about, after around 10 minutes of walking he'll often ask to be picked up and carried.

These things can be difficult at times, but they are all part of what makes him who he is. Every day we learn more about how he communicates, what he needs, and how best to support him. Watching him grow, learn, and connect with the world in his own way makes me incredibly proud.

We enjoyed exploring the stalls, soaking up the sunshine, and finding a few bargains along the way. Simple family moments like these are the best. 😊

He can be quite picky with food, so we often put out lots of different options and let him choose what he'd like to eat. Today he's enjoying eggs, rice noodles, and strawberries. Seeing him find foods he's happy to eat is always a win! 😊
